Fashion Wishlist from Persunmall

Hey everyone! The other day I was approached by the wonderful Alice from Persunmall.com who offered to have me try out some of their items and review them for you. Step 1 is to post a wishlist featuring my favorite things!

Persun is an online retailer that sells clothing and accessories for very affordable prices. I was particularly impressed by their tops and jewelry selection, so that's what I've focused on in this list.

The first item is this pink flower knit sweater. It's basically a Wildfox knock-off, and since I'm not about to spend $100 on a distressed sweater, this is perfect! I'm sure the quality isn't as good, but I plan on wearing it very casually and I like the loose fit.

A classic plaid shirt has been soo hard to come by for me. All I want is a plain red one, and I can't seem to find one in-store! Luckily, Persunmall has this in stock. It's not flannel, but it has a great pattern and I love the huge pockets.

Next is a gray knit sweater. Right along the spine theres a pulled panel, making it seem like the knitting fell apart. I think it's so cool and perfect to wear over leggings on a cold day. Chuck on some tall black boots and you're good to go.

The last clothing item on my wishlist is a plain white t-shirt. I don't have a loose, oversize t-shirt so this would be a really good staple to have.

Finally, this gold and neon green necklace. I'd see myself wearing this constantly if I were to own it. I totally see myself rocking this under the collar of a chambray shirt. It's really fun for summer, but I'd also wear it throughout the winter because god knows I need some neon to spice up my drab monochrome outfits!

Nail Polish Canada Wishlist #2

Ahhhhhhh I haven't posted in so long! Can you tell it's midterm season? Well, it's also holiday season for nail polishes and makeup companies... Which means new releases!!! Most of my favorite nail polish brands have already released Winter and Holiday collection so I thought I'd put together a new Nail Polish Canada Wishlist. I've done one of these once before (click here to see it), and as you know, Nail Polish Canada is the place to buy nail polish. They have every possible brand and helloooo free shipping.

First up is Color Club's "The Uptown"... I mean, do you see that gorgeous shimmer? Ugh, and that duochrome. It just looks so cool and all the reviews and swatches I've seen are great.

Next is Essie's "Sable Collar". It looks a little boring in the bottles but from the swatches I've seen, it has this really awesome metallic sheen on the nails. I don't have anything like it so it would be amazing to own.

Models Own "Hedonist" is the only polish featured in my last wish list that I still do not own. Need to get my hands on it ASAP before they get rid of it!

Next up is Essie's "Warm and Toasty Turtleneck". If you already have a light purple creme I wouldn't recommend this because it's probably similar to what you already own. BUT, I don't have any nail polish this color surprisingly, so I'm really eyeing it!

Generally I have mixed feelings about Butter London since they are pricey ($17) and their hit rate for me is 50% (I have two Butter Londons - love one, dislike the other), but "Giddy Kipper" is one I can't resist. All the swatches make it look so edgy and crisp and lovely.

This 5-piece dotting tool set is only $9.95 and really, it's only a matter of time I shell out for me. It's been sitting in my wish list for so long and I want to get into nail art more!

To my surprise, Nail Polish Canada now sells TheBalm products! So cool! The prices are exactly the same as anything you'll find in-store, and with NPC's rewards system and free shipping, it would be silly not to purchase the "Mary Lou-Manizer" there.

And finally, the creme de la creme: OPI's "Take Ten" Mini set. This set basically contains mini versions of the greatest OPI shades ever, including Pirouette My Whiste, Alpine Snow, Bubble Bath, Tickle My France-y, You Don't Know Jacques!, Cajun Shrimp, Big Apple Red, German-icure, Malaga Wine and Lincoln Park After Dark. And the best part: it's only $30! Hallelujah!

Voila! My second ever Nail Polish Canada Wishlist. Anything you've been after?

Nail Polish Canada Wishlist

Hey everyone! It's no secret that I'm obsessed with nail polish, which means I have a ridiculously large collection of it. That also means, unfortunately, that I can't justify purchasing any more. So, instead of buying the ones I want from my usual online store (nailpolishcanada), I figured I'd make a quick wishlist. Not exactly the same as making an order, but it'll have to do!

Photos from nailpolishcanada.com
First up is "For Audrey" by China Glaze. Surprisingly, I don't think I have a similar colour to this in my current collection. I have a turquoise but it's much more on the green side. I think it's such a cute shade and name - of course referencing Breakfast at Tiffany's. I feel like it would definitely be a staple in my collection if I were to own it!

Next is "Bouncer it's Me" by Essie. Of the newer Essie collections (including their Resort Collection, their new wedding collection, their new summer collection, and their neons), this is pretty much the only one that caught my eye. I don't normally gravitate towards blue polish anymore but this one is so crisp and shocking that I can't help it!

OPI hasn't really intrigued me with their new collections recently - I feel like nothing totally unique has been released and I'm not feeling their new liquid sands, but "Chic From Ears To Tails" is something I would like to own. I don't have a pretty, creamy pink colour, and from the swatches I've seen I believe this has a very slight glitter to it, so I think it would be really pretty on!

Models Own "Hedonist" is a colour I've been eyeing for ages. I don't know exactly when Nail Polish Canada started stocking Models Own, but I'm so thrilled about it! These nail polish are extortionately expensive on the Models Own site and on ASOS (presumably because they hail from the UK), so I'm really glad they're only going for $8. There are other Models Own polishes that I'm after ("Luis Lemon" and "Indian Ocean"), but they're unfortunately sold out. I feel like Models Own is the only company that has put out anything super unique lately!

It's no secret that Seche Vite is my favorite top coat ever, but once you're about halfway through the bottle it does start to get gloopy. "Seche Restore" is a polish thinner that supposedly gets the top coat back to its original state.

Zoya "Godiva" is hands down the most gorgeous textured glitter that has been released in this entire trend - or at least of the polishes I've seen swatches of. It has the prettiest sandy texture and it looks so classy and elegant. I'm really sad that it's sold out at the moment but hopefully the site restocks soon! Otherwise I might have to pop Trade Secrets a visit!

Next is Revlon "Orbit Moon Candy", a nail art duo that has intrigued me for a little while now. I nearly picked this up at Wal Mart but, of course, decided against it because I can't justify more nail polish. The combination of the two polishes makes a really awesome, quick galaxy nail.

Speaking of the galaxy nail, NCLA released limited edition nail wraps in a galaxy print. I originally saw these on Little Black Bag (where I've just placed my first order!!! Expect a haul/unboxing soon!), but they were soo popular and impossible to trade for. They just look really cool, and I'm a big fan of the galaxy nail trend.

So there you have it! My Nail Polish Canada wishlist complete. Any nail polishes you've been loving lately?

Wishlist Pt. 2: Christmas Edition!

Hey everyone! Long time no talk! To be honest, I thought I'd be posting on here way more this month... I guess it's just been a crazy couple of days. I finished off the last of my exams on Saturday and I was out yesterday, so today is looking like the opportune day to get back in the blogging game.

Anyhow, I have my second wishlist I've ever posted on this blog to share with you (click here to see the first one). These are some items I would love to receive for Christmas, and hopefully it gives you a few ideas for last-minute Christmas shopping. These are perfect for a friend or daughter or anyone into beauty (with perhaps the exception of the last three items).

OPI nail polish in "Golden Eye": This nail polish is from the OPI Skyfall collection (inspired by James Bond, of course), and it's a really pretty gold shimmer. I don't have one of these in my collection and I think it's just a nice, luxurious color to have. I would even treat it as a neutral because it could match so many different outfits.

Dior Shimmer Star in "Amber Diamond": I've been kind of obsessed with powder highlighters lately and it seems to me like this is just the ultimate. Everything about it seems incredible. The pigmentation (I've swatched it in-store many times), the pattern on the product, the packaging, everything. This is definitely more high-end given the price, but it would be such a lovely gift.

Bioderma Solution Micellaire: This product is hailed by the online beauty community as the best makeup remover in existence (lol). I guess the price is a point I'd like to address. This is not available in the United States, and can only be purchased in Europe (UK and France for sure, I'm not certain about other Euro countries) and Canada, and from what I know about exchange rates, it's marginally cheaper in Canada. That said, $22 for a makeup remover is a hell of a lot. It does seem like an incredible product, though, and I'm dying to try it.

Benefit POREfessional: The annoying thing about pores is that they're genetic, so any kind of serum that claims to remove pores is a scam. However, there are products available that reduce the look of pores, such as this one. I would be interested in trying it out to see how I'd make do with it, because it can be a hit or miss product. It's gotten generally good reviews, though, so I'm intrigued!

BeautyBlender: This is a product that is meant to seamlessly blend foundation. I don't know why it's $26; I can't really justify buying that for a sponge, but concept really peaks my interest. I still have a problem with streaky/patchy foundation if I don't spend ample time applying it, so this would be a wonder to have on days when I'm in a rush.

MAC 217 Brush: Okay, I love my Sigma blending brush, but this brush is likely one of the most-talked-about brushes in the beauty community. It seems more stiff than the Sigma one, so I bet it's a lot more precise. It can also be used to apply eyeshadow, and I think it would be an all-around great brush to own.

Giftcards: I think giftcards are a great gift, because it shows a person that you're atune to their needs and interests, while still giving them the opportunity to go shopping for themselves. Personally, I'm in serious need of a new bra (hope that's not TMI), and I've been having issues with Victoria's Secret lately, so Aerie is my new go-to. It's actually American Eagle's lingerie line. Really, though, I could make use out of any giftcard, be it Walmart, Pharmaprix, Sephora (of course), Bath & Body Works, Forever 21, etc.

Divergent by Veronica Roth: I'm in need of new books to read, and I've heard great things about this one. A lot of beauty gurus have read it (Tanya Burr and Amarixe, among the ones I can recall), but John Green has also recommended it, so I'm pretty confident that it's a good one.

H&M Braided Headband: So, I couldn't find the price on this because according to their website, it's sold out (!?), but I've seen it in-store many times so I'm sure they haven't completely vanished. American Apparel has similar styles but I'd rather not give them by business (or that of anyone shopping on my behalf). I just think it's very cute and a nice alternative to wearing a hat.

So that concludes my Christmas wishlist! Hope you enjoyed and please don't be shy to comment below! :)

Super Long WISHLIST!

Hey everyone! I've been meaning to do this post for a while now, because I keep a post-it on my laptop with a list of products I have my eye on, and to be honest, there's no more room for any thing else on it... Oops... So I've gathered all the products I want into some graphics and I've noted which YouTubers have recommended them!

1) Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: Tanya Burr or Pixi2Woo on YouTube uses this powder in just about all of her tutorials. What I love is that you can literally see this product mattifying her skin as she uses it, so you know it does the trick! Also, she recently mentioned that this might be her all-time favorite drugstore product and from what I've seen, I definitely believe her.

2) Tarte Lip Surgent Holiday Giftset: So nobody on YouTube recommended these (that I know of) but I swatched them in Sephora once and absolutely fell in love. They glide right on and they're so beautifully pigmented, but unfortunately the price is definitely not up my alley at all. However, their holiday giftset is now on-sale and I believe they're selling a pack of FIVE of them for $37 USD or something crazy like that! Ahh!

3) Urban Decay Vice Palette: Rachel or ICallItAmbrosia on YouTube reviewed this palette in a video, and to be honest, I literally want to go out and buy everything she recommends. I've purchased products on her recommendation in the past and haven't been disappointed. Plus, being a lover of the Naked palette and Urban Decay shadows in general, this just seems like a really nice investment.

4) MAC Extradimension Skinfinish in "Whisper of Gilt": NikkieTutorials uses these extradimension skinfinishes in some (or actually, most) of her tutorials and the effect is super gorgeous. This also comes in "Superb" which Nikkie uses as well, but I find that color too pink to use as a highlighter, so I'm sticking with this one. Unfortunately, these were limited edition, BUT, MAC is re-releasing them in one of their lines coming out in November, so I'm definitely not going to miss out on this!

5) Aussie 3-Minute Miracle Conditioner: I think Rachel mentioned this, like, once in a haircare video (I think she was reviewing Macadamia products) but considering she loves it and it's really cheap, I'm definitely willing to try it out. My hair is literally getting crispy so I think it could benefit from a bit of deep conditioning.

6) MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in "Soft & Gentle": Louise or SprinkleOfGlitter on YouTube recommends this MSF like crazy. I also think she got Zoe into it (and maybe Fleur, I'm not sure)! I've been wanting to try a MAC MSF for such a long time now, but I want to invest in one that I'm actually going to get a lot of use out of and not use only for special occasions and stuff. I think Louise said she's gone through multiple of these so it looks like this is the one! And it's in MAC's permanent collection so I don't have to worry about it selling out. Yay!

7) Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in "Honey": I know that pretty much every YouTuber has reviewed or recommended this at some point, but the most recent mention of this product has been by EssieButton. I think she talked about it in her Autumn haul video, and she purchased the exact color I've been wanting: Honey. I've been on the hunt for this specific color for ages but it seems to be sold out wherever I go! :(

8) Lush Magic Wand Bubble Bar: Zoe featured this product in her most recent haul and, I mean, just look at it. SO CUTE! Basically, you swish this around in your bath tub, and voila, bubbles! Apparently it smells like their scent called Snow Fairy, which is known as the LUSH winter scent. It's been described as very sugary sweet which sounds exactly like something I'd like. (Also, just note that I've written her YouTube wrong in the graphic above. It's actually "Zoella280390" with a 0 on the end. Oops!)

9) NARS Blush in "Sin": Honestly, everyone is obsessed with Orgasm, but Sin is really the blush that stands out to me in regards to NARS. I've actually been wanting it for quite some time now. It looks like the perfect fall shade (EssieButton talked about it in her top autumn blushes), and it's a color unlike any other blush I own. It doesn't really look like it in the photo, but I've swatched it at Sephora and it has a really plum-y tint to it!

10) OPI Nail Envy: I've been searching for a nail strengthener for a while now, and I've been recommended this product countless of times. Essie talked about it in a recent video, and she said she's noticed her nails getting stronger and not breaking as much. I have such a problem with my nails breaking, especially when I shape them "square", the corners become really fragile (that was a really weird thing to try and describe lol).

11) Seche Vite Top Coat: This seems to be like the nail guru top coat, but when it comes to nail recommendations, I seem to really trust MissJenFabulous. Her nails are always so perfectly manicured, and she uses this top coat in every tutorial. I recently ran out of my Sally Hansen top coat, so I think I'm going to try this one out next!

12) Batiste Dry Shampoo: Ingrid or MissGlamorazzi on YouTube included this dry shampoo in her London haul during the summer, and for some reason her recommendation really stuck with me and it's been on my wishlist ever since. I've been looking for a dry shampoo because I wash my hair every couple of days, so it would be nice for my hair to have a little pick-me-up on the second or third days. I doubt this is available in Canada so I'm going to try to find a place to buy it online! If anyone knows where I can get it, please let me know in the comments!

And that ends my current wishlist! (Except, not really, because I could literally think of 10-12 more products to include here lol!). Let me know if you enjoyed this post or if you have any reviews of these products because I would love to hear about them!
