Christmas Wishlist 2013: Beauty

I'll just go ahead and say it: I have an irrationally long Christmas list this year. We can just regard this list as a compilation of things I wanted to buy this year but was too poor to afford. Here it goes!

The eyeshadow palette I bought for myself this year is the Urban Decay Vice Palette, but I've also been lusting after Urban Decay Naked3, the Lorac Pro Palette, and the Laura Mercier Artist Eyes Palette. All neutral, but all extra lovely.

My blush pick for this year's list is Mac "Gingerly" because I've been searching for that perfect orange-coral shade. My concealer/foundation pick is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. My highlighter pick is the Hourglass "Ambient Light" Palette - because all the online reviews have successfully convinced me that I need this.

I've singlehandedly decided that I need a YSL lipstick in my life, so I'm going for a classic red called "Red Muse". My MAC lipstick pick for this list is "Fixed on Drama", a rich wine retromatte. For good measure, I'm throwing in the elf lip exfoliator, because why not?

For the sheer fact that I've never owned a "high-end" mascara that wasn't a sample, I've included: Benefit "They're Real" (all-time best mascara that I have like 3 used samples of), Tarte "Lights, Camera, Flashes", and Clinique "Bottom Lash" mascara, simply because "bottom lash mascara" seems like a superfluous purchase, but works great as a gift.

Ideally I would like one of every type of the Sephora Formula X nail polishes, but I've included "Boom" for list purposes. Zoya "Payton" looks sooo nice. Want. I'm in need of a good matte top coat so I've chosen the OPI one.

FINALLY, Pharmaprix has begun to stock the Sugar Crush line of Soap & Glory products, so naturally I'm after the Body Buttercream and the Body Scrub. Lush "Lovely Jubblies" (a "breast firming cream"...lol) has been on my wishlist for forever, so it's about time I get my hands on it.

Every year I like to refresh my brush collection in some way or another, so this year I'm asking for the MAC 138 which I'll use for highlighter, the Real Techniques eyeshadow brush set, and the Sigma E65 which I'll use for gel liner.

And, surprise, this is not the end of my list! I'll have a part 2 coming up which will feature my non-beauty items :)

7 Deadly Sins TAG

Hey everyone! I haven't done a tag in a while and I don't have any other posts planned so I thought I'd give this one a go. I found it on Jess' blog Coffee and Cosmetics, and I know it's a popular one but in case you haven't done it yet, feel free to grab it :)

1. Greed: What is your most inexpensive beauty product? What is your most expensive beauty product?

My most inexpensive beauty product is anything that I bought from Elf. I have their studio brush line and one of their gel liners, and both are great value for money. Their products are only a couple bucks and really do the job. They're nothing fancy but if you'd like to save some money on basics, Elf is a good option! Their online website is particularly easy to navigate, and shipping doesn't cost an arm & a leg.

My most expensive beauty product (that I bought with my own money, i.e. not gifted) has to be my Vice 2 palette. I don't tend to splurge on single items - I'd rather save up some money and buy an array of things. Although the Urban Decay palettes are quite expensive, I think they are SO worth it. The quality, originality, and durability are incomparable.

2. Wrath: What beauty product do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?

At the moment I'm having a love/hate relationship with the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. It's an illuminating, anti-aging foundation, which is lovely in theory, but the problem is that it's chock-full of shimmer. I still can't decide if that's an issue for me or not! It was fine in the summer with a nice tan, but it seems silly to have a glowy face in the winter. Looks like I'll have to move on from it during the time being.

Living in Canada, I'm pretty lucky when it comes to beauty products being available for me. We have Sephora and Mac, and Bioderma is sold at my nearest drug store. I think the only products that posed some difficulty for me were my Real Techniques brushes. It took forever and a half for them to become available at Walmart here, and I could never seem to find them on trips to the States. Of course, UK brands are difficult to get.

3. Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?

Well since I don't tend to eat my beauty products this is a bit of an odd question... However, some products smell so good they could almost be edible. Two of my favorite-smelling lip glosses are from Buxom and NYX. I'm definitely a sucker for sweet scents as opposed to more perfume-y scents like Chanel.

4. Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?

I definitely neglect using concealer. I feel like foundation does the bulk of the work when it comes to covering up, and I don't feel like my under-eye circles are that noticeable. I also neglect powdering sometimes - and more often than not I regret it at some point throughout the day! Oops.

5. Pride: What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?

The beauty product that gives me the most self-confidence is eyeshadow. On days that I actually put the effort into applying it, I feel instantly rejuvenated haha. Knowing that I put in the extra work in making my "look" complete makes all the difference. I'm no expert when it comes to applying eyeshadow but when it turns out looking great, I feel super accomplished haha.

6. Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?

I find this question a little irrelevant so I'm going to replace it with "Which product/brand do you find has the most physically attractive packaging?"

Even though I'm still gushing over the packaging of my new Vice 2 palette, my answer for this question is very easy: NARS. The sleek packaging and the rubber-y texture gets me every time! I even love the extra kerning on the letters and the curved edges. I contemplate buying NARS products if only for the packaging... To have a big NARS palette one day is my dream - totally wish I'd gotten my hands on Danmari when I had the chance!

7. Envy: What product would you most like to receive as a gift?

At the moment I am dying for a YSL lipstick. I can never justify the price in-store but if someone loved me enough to buy me one as a gift... I would be so so so happy! The packaging and quality looks incredible. I would definitely buy a red color making it feel even fancier :)

Urban Decay Vice 2: Swatches & First Impressions

On Monday I finally got my hands on the beautiful Vice 2 palette from Urban Decay. I stupidly did not order the first Vice palette when it came out last year, so I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice!

It's no secret that I have issues with Sephora, so I unsurprisingly did not order this from their website. The Urban Decay site was having their annual friends & family sale, and although they don't ship to Canada, my friend Emily had it shipped to a relative of hers in Florida who then brought it back for me. Throughout this entire process, I saved $25 on this palette. Instead of paying around $78 Canadian, it cost me $53. I just can't get over how much we're ripped off here in Canada! Sephora hikes up their prices so much, it drives me nuts. Even though it's sometimes unavoidable, I try my best not to give Sephora my business.

Now that I've ranted, let's get on to the palette itself. The packaging is absolutely stunning. I really love the design on the front of the palette, and while I'm usually not crazy about bedazzled makeup products, I think it works nicely here. On the inside, there is a huge mirror on top which is very practical, and on the bottom you have your shadows.

For some reason X-Rated got really washed out in this photograph - it's actually a matte baby pink (see swatch below)

I think this is a really awesome array of shades. I love the mix of colorful and neutral shadows - it makes this a very versatile palette. The only thing I wish is that there were more matte colors, like that  super electric blue from the first Vice palette. The only matte color we get in Vice 2 is "X-Rated", a slightly underwhelming matte baby pink.

Early standouts for me are Shellshock, Damaged, Voodoo, Betrayal, Ambush and Rewind, my favorite definitely being Damaged. Urban Decay makes a killer emerald green. Betrayal is this amazing blue-purple duochrome, reminiscent of Mac's Stars 'N' Rockets, only more pigmented and smoother.

Some disappointments are Madness, Strike, Stash and Habit - all have very minimal pigmentation. Strike is like the sad version of Half Baked, while Habit is so chalky it barely shows up on the skin. Another slightly annoying thing about this palette is that there are three versions of a black-based shadow with blue glitter/shimmer (Lovesick, Prank and Poison). I'm not sure this was entirely necessary.

Overall I think this palette will be great for occasions. I foresee navy smokey eyes, green and purple accents, rose gold lids... There possibilites are endless!

What do you think about Vice 2? Liking the look so far?

2012 FAVORITES!

Hey everyone! So the year wouldn't be complete without a recap of all my favorite things, and I decided to divide this up into categories, telling you my top 4 in each. This was honestly really difficult and I thought about it quite a bit! Hope you enjoy.

Of course, I could not give you a top 4 without telling y'all my makeup faves. First is the Urban Decay Naked palette that I received for my birthday in February. I won't dwell on this one too long because if you know anything about me, you will know that this is my ultimate eyeshadow palette ever.

Next is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, which I picked up thanks to Tanya Burr on YouTube. It does an incredible job at mattifying the skin, so if you are of the oily type, I highly recommend it.

Along the same lines, Urban Decay's De Slick has been a lifesaver. I definitely think this helps my makeup stay put, and it definitely controls oil really well.

Last is my Korres lip butter in Wild Rose. I purchased this product during the summer thanks to EssieButton on YouTube, and I've loved it ever since. Whenever I'm not sure which lip product to wear, I always reach for this one. It's such a pretty color and a pleasure to wear.

The first nail polish is China Glaze's Ruby Pumps, which is kinda cheating since I only just received it for Christmas. I can predict that this might also be a 2013 favorite, just because I love it a lot.

Next is also a China Glaze polish, but this one is called Prism. It's an amazing, sparkly, glittery lilac-toned nail polish and I have nothing more to say about it except that it's beautiful. I'm wearing it for New Year's!

Third is Essie's Bahama Mama. This was my ultimate fall nail color and I found myself gravitating towards it multiple times during the season. I honestly think it's such a classy color, and a great alternative to the traditional red.

Last but not least, Julep's Kate. Now, I didn't predict liking this polish as much as I did, but I've been absolutely loving this. I thought white nails were tacky at first, but I've grown to love them. I've found it to be a wonderful year-round color and a perfect base for glitter polishes. The formula is super smooth (absolutely no streaks).

I wore Julep "Kate" during the winter as well. Here, it's underneath Essie's Shine of the Times.

In 2012, I've been obsessed with watching YouTube videos. Mainly for beauty and makeup purposes, but also for entertainment. First is EssieButton, whom I've mentioned many times on my blog. She's funny and has a knack for picking out lovely beauty items. Many products I've purchased have been due to her recommendation.

MissGlamorazzi is also a YouTuber I've been watching very frequently. Her demeanor is always super cute and optimistic and she's just so much fun to watch. Her vlogs are also really entertaining.

Next is FunForLouis. This is actually his second channel, but I can't really bare to watch his main channel to be honest lol. This year, he went on a UK roadtrip with Sam Pepper and Mazzi Maz, and vlogged every single bit of the way. Sam and Maz vlogged too, but I found Louis' the most fun to watch. He's currently staying with Sawyer Hartman (another YouTuber) and Sam in Los Angeles, and is vlogging every second day.

Alright, I seriously couldn't pick between these girls. They're YouTube's trifecta of awesomeness. Last year, I would've placed JennaMarbles in the non-beauty YouTube favorite category, but these three just take the cake this year. MyHarto's My Drunk Kitchen is very likely the funniest channel on YouTube. Hannah is also a really great person. Next is Mamrie Hart's channel You Deserve a Drink. Again, super funny. I can find myself watching her videos for hours. Last but not least is DailyGrace. She uploads videos Monday through Friday and is super witty.

I won't spend too much time talking about my music favorites, but here they are. First is Ed Sheeran's + album, which I listened to all the time whilst in Italy. This is definitely my top favorite album of the year.

Next is Taylor Swift's Red, which I'd been anticipating all year and was not disappointed by. She strays from her country genre quite a bit, but I just can't help loving her music.

I also really enjoyed Ellie Goulding's new album (admittedly not as much as Ed's & Taylor's). Her sound is so unique and I'm glad I was introduced to her music.

Lastly, is Miley Cyrus' backyard sessions which can be found on YouTube. I'm such a fan of her voice and every song she sings is so spot-on. Adore this girl.

This year I spent a lot of time watching movie staples that I had not previously seen, the first being the Shawshank Redemption. I could seriously go on and on about this movie. It was just perfect.

Next is Fight Club. I loved this story so much, and I even ended up reading the book. It's a cult favorite for a reason.

So specifically for 2012, I have to say, I really enjoyed the Avengers. I saw it multiple times in theatres and never got bored of it. It's chock-full of great actors and so much fun to watch. This was a big year for superhero movies but to me, this was the clear stand-out.

Last but not least, the Hunger Games. I read the books a while ago so I was very, very excited for this movie. I had high hopes and they were certainly met. Not much else to say - I loved every part of this film.

Finally, television. This year I kinda strayed away from my usual genre (think Gossip Girl, The OC, PLL), and started watching a variety of different shows. First up is How I Met Your Mother, which has been a favorite for years, to be honest. This show never fails to make me laugh, and I have so much love for all the characters. I'm going to be so upset when this is over.

I also really enjoyed watching the show Revenge this year. It's still relatively new (halfway through season 2), so I recommend starting it if you don't watch it already. It's super thrilling and the premise is really interesting.

Gah, gotta love me some Suits. This was the TV show I least expected to love this year. It's basically about lawyers, which I would generally hate, but the characters are so likeable and the storyline is so great. And yeah. A+

Lastly, the Food Network. I mean, there isn't much to say here. I like food and I like television and the Food Network exists, so obviously I'm a fan. Notables include Chopped, Cupcake Wars, and most recently, Iron Chef.

And that concludes my 2012 favorites! I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating 2013, and thank you so much for reading Abundance of Erica this past year. It's been a lot of fun to update and I look forward to blogging in the upcoming year :)

Yesterday's OOTD/FOTD & Updates (Sept 14)

So, I'm bummed. I haven't been blogging as much as I'd like to... I have tons and tons of ideas for posts but just not enough time to carry them out. I think the only solution is to organize my time better. I started school and my part-time job again, so I need to manage school, homework, work, and blogging, and unfortunately university and work take precedence.

Anyhow, yesterday was my friend Tania's birthday so we all went out for dinner and karaoke at a Korean karaoke place (and yes, Gangnam Style was sung & danced). It's honestly one of the most fun things you could do in Montreal, in my opinion. Basically you reserve a private room and you have thousands of song options, and you can order alcohol whenever you like (just press the red button beside the door and your waitress shows up). The only downside was that it was a billion degrees because their AC was down, but it's all good. I much prefer this as opposed to clubbing or something, because you're with your friends and no one's there to bother you/creep on you (can you tell how anti-social I am?). Some highlights: I Will Survive, You Give Love a Bad Name, and Gangnam Style of course.

I'll end by quickly running through my OOTD & FOTD (I'm in the middle-left).

Everyday Eyeshadow Look

Hey everyone! I have yet ANOTHER eyeshadow look. I've really been on a roll with these, I guess. Anyway, I have about 10 minutes to write this post before I head out so I'll make it quick.

I wanted to use the Urban Decay Naked palette (my favorite eyeshadow palette ever), to do something relatively simple that can be worn on an everyday basis, and also as a back-to-school look.

I won't go into much detail so I'll just list which colors I used where:

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin all over the lid (not pictured above)
  • Sin eyeshadow as an all-over wash
  • Toasted in the crease and outer corner (Sidenote: I feel like Toasted is a really underrated color in this palette. It's such a pretty burnt copper color)
  • Blended Toasted out with a little Naked
  • Hustle used as eyeliner on both lash lines
  • Virgin on the inner corner and as a brow bone highlight
  • (I also filled in my brows with Naked and Buck but you can't really see that here lol)
Add some mascara and you're good to go. I love easy eyeshadow looks like this one, don't you?

Green & Purple Eyeshadow Look

Hey everyone! As promised, I have another eyeshadow look for you. Admittedly, it's pretty similar to my Stars 'N' Rockets look, but hey. I was just going through my makeup drawer and found this Sephora palette that I received as a gift, so I used that as inspiration. The thing is, I'm not a massive fan of Sephora brand eyeshadow, so I pulled out this awesome green Pop palette to use instead of the greens in the Sephora palette. They're way more pigmented and easier to use and blend.

You can check out the photo below to see exactly where I placed each color, but I'll quickly go through it. First, I primed my eye with Urban Decay Primer Potion in "Sin" (not pictured below), then I used the light purple from the Sephora palette as an all-over wash. I warmed up the outer corner  and crease with "Buck" from Urban Decay's Naked palette, except I didn't want it to be too brown so I mixed it this blue color from a Sephora palette I have similar to the Coastal Scents palette (again, I'm not fond of Sephora eyeshadows so I only pull this one out only when I need a specific color). Then I lined my upper lashline with black liquid liner, and sweeped on a mix of the two brightest greens from the Pop palette overtop. I also used the same combination on my lower lashline. Lastly, I used the light green from the Sephora palette to highlight my browbone, added mascara, and voila :)

Also, I should mention that (aside from the Naked palette), I got these eyeshadows a really long time ago, so I'm not sure if they're still available! However, any similar colors will do the trick (they don't have to be from the exact same palettes I used).

Let me know if you enjoy these looks because I have fun taking the photos and editing them so I'd be willing to do more!

Products I Regret Buying

Hello everyone! I figured I would do a post on products I regret buying because I feel like it could be very helpful. My reasons for regretting buying these products range from problems regarding price, packaging, quality, and sometimes just personal preference--so just because I didn't end up liking them, doesn't mean you won't either! These are just some points to take into consideration before buying.

The first (three) products I regret buying are these American Apparel nail polishes. I have one in the color "Hunter" (a deep green), one in "California Trooper" (a really gross light tan color), and one in "L'Esprit" (a pale purple). Alright, so my problem with these nail polishes is their liquidy consistency. I find them incredibly hard to work with because they're so streaky, so you definitely need 2+ coats as well as a top coat. Also, the middle color (California Trooper), is really not what I thought it would be. It's just the most unflattering color in the world and it makes my hands look sickly, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I'm probably going to use these in an NOTD at some point because I'd like to show them to you guys.

These retail for $9 CDN each.

The Makeup Forever HD Foundation & Microperfecting Primer are probably the products I regret buying the most. For the record, I am SO against buying high-end foundation. I really can't justify the price I paid for this stuff. It's almost embarrassing. The story is that I had a Sephora giftcard and I happened to run out of my foundation so I figured I'd give these a shot. The guy at the Sephora recommended them, and I'd heard a lot of good things, so I went ahead and purchased them. Now, you might be wondering what the white bottle on the left is. As it turns out, this line doesn't have a shade in my color, meaning I had to purchase the primer as well. The primer is blue which cancels out the redness of the foundation. It made sense at the time, I guess.

What doesn't make sense, however, is how much I paid for such a low-quality product. The foundation itself is decent. Decent coverage and durability. Fine. The packaging... Not so much. When the product finally came to an end, it was just a mess. The foundation even starting coming out of the base of the lid. It was terrible. Also the cap is incredibly flimsy and it pops off easily, making this foundation super difficult to travel with.

The foundation retails for $42 CDN and the primer retails for $34 CDN totalling $76 CDN. I'm cringing.

Alright, I have a love-hate relationship with LUSH. I can't say I've ever purchased a product from there that I was absolutely dazzled with, and their Solid "Gorilla" Perfume in Karma is no different. This one basically just comes down to preference.

I was really intrigued by the idea of solid perfume so I went ahead and tested a few out before choosing Karma. Now, assuming you've ever been within a 5m radius of a Lush store, you'll know how scented the place is, so testing out perfume in there is no easy feat. I sniffed a couple before getting to this one and I just couldn't smell them, so when I got to Karma, I was like "Oh! Citrus! I can smell it!" And to be honest, it didn't smell terrible! So when I got home from my little shopping trip I pulled this out and smelled it again... DAMN was it CITRUSY. This little thing smells sooo strong, it's enough to give me a pounding migraine. It also has a certain spiciness to it, so that in addition to the citrus... Man. Not for me.

Anyway, lesson learned. Before buying perfume at Lush, put some on, leave the store, walk around, and then see if you still like it.

This retails for $10.95 CDN.

The next product I regret buying is this Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet. To be honest, I feel bad for not liking this. It's gotten so many incredible reviews by beauty gurus it makes me feel almost guilty for not liking it! This is one is a matter of personal preference as well. As a lip butter, I didn't expect it to go on so opaque with just one swipe. But maybe the fault is on me for buying such a dark shade. My rationale was that I wanted to try out a darker lip color but not commit to the intensity of a lipstick.

I have to say, it looks pretty decent in the photos but in person it's so dark, it's almost brown. This one is entirely my fault though and maybe I'm just bitter because I haven't had the guts to wear it out yet. Oh well.

This retails for about $10 CDN at Canadian drugstores.

The next product on the list is Maybelline Great Lash mascara in the color "Blackest Black". I think my problem with this one is just that it is overhyped. It's been around for so long and magazines claim it to be the most timeless, best mascara in the history of ever. Meh. I disagree. But I guess it depends on what you look for in a mascara. My problem is the consistency--I just don't find it thick enough. I find myself brushing on 6+ coats before my lashes are how I like them. And not to say that I like that spidery clumpy look, it just takes that many coats before it even looks like I have mascara on.

This product retails for about $5.99 CDN.

My final product is the ever-talked-about Urban Decay Primer Potion in original and "Sin". I wasn't sure if I should include these on this list because I wouldn't necessarily say I regret buying them... As opposed to the other products on this list, I do still use these. I'll start by discussing the original primer potion which is in the purple bottle. I received this with the Naked palette (which I adore, by the way), and I'm just not a fan. If your eyelids are on the oilier side, applying this just feels like slapping on more oil (yum). It's very buttery and slippery and I don't actually notice any difference when I use it.

All to say, I use Sin a lot more often. I like using it when I'm applying shimmery eyeshadows because I do feel like it makes them stand out a little more (which is why I purchased the full size of this as opposed to the original one). My only problem is that you literally only need half a dab of this to prime your entire eyelid, meaning I'll have this product for the rest of my life. I guess that's a good thing considering you get your money's worth, but I feel like it's a little wasteful. I wish the Sin primer came in the same packaging as the original (Sin is a squeeze tube and the original has a wand).

This product retails full-size for $20.00 CDN. (Note: I just checked out the Sephora website for the price and look at this awesome deal: three primer potions in the "vintage" packaging for $22.00 (online only)!)

Alright so that's the end of the products I regret buying! Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed reading this/found it helpful at all :)

Most Worn Tag: Summer 2012

Hey everyone! I got the idea for this post from Missglamorazzi on YouTube (LINK), and since I don't do YouTube videos, I decided to make a post on it :) I really enjoyed Missglamorazzi's video and thought you guys might like to see how I would respond to the tag as well!

(Click the photos to view them in HD)

1) Most worn nailpolish:

To be completely honest, I change my nailpolish incredibly often, especially during the summer! My two favorites, however, have been this amazing, glowing pink color from Kiko Makeup Milano, and L'Orange by L'Oreal. They're both really vibrant and look great with a tan! Unfortunately, the Kiko polish doesn't have a name, but in case you're interested its number is 03507.

2) Most worn hair product:

In the summer I tend to use less hair products because I let my hair air-dry and I don't use too much heat on it. I got this sample-sized product from Canada's April Glossybox and have been using it ever since. Whenever I feel like my hair is getting a little dull, or rather needs an extra bit of "oomph" (for lack of a better word), I run a dab of this through my hair (avoiding the roots). It gives the hair some shine and smoothness. As you can see, I only have about two more uses of this product before it runs out! :( As soon as I find a place that sells Wella products (I think some salons do?), I will definitely be re-purchasing it. Also, it smells DELICIOUS. So many people compliment the way my hair smells whenever I use this.

3) Most worn bag:

I picked up this bag when I was in Italy and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect size for everyday use. It's larger than the cross-body I use to go out at night, but smaller than the tote bag I use for school. It fits my wallet, a small make-up bag, and even my iPad. Also, I think the color is very versatile, so I definitely see myself wearing this into the fall. The brand is Carpisa, by the way.

4) Most worn shoes:

My most worn summer shoes are by far this pair of flip flops from Abercrombie & Fitch. I don't tend to shop at Abercrombie but I bought these with a giftcard approximately 3 years ago--and let me tell you, they've held up reeaally nicely. I probably need to get myself a new pair sometime soon but these are perfectly broken-in, and generally very sturdy. I wear them almost every day, every summer since I've gotten them.

5) Most worn accessories:

My most worn accessories are these adorable, leather bow hair clips. I picked these up from a leather boutique in Italy but I can't imagine similar ones would be too hard to find. I love these because they pull the hair away from my face which is a must for me during the summer!

6) Most worn clothing item:

My most worn clothing item is this dress that I picked up from H&M. It's just a plain, casual white tank-top dress. I love it because it can be worn in so many different ways depending on how I feel. If it's a little cooler I can throw a light cardigan over the top, or a cropped vest if I don't feel like being too bare-shouldered. Also it's a little long (a few inches past the knee), so sometimes I bunch up the bottom and tie it to one side which is also cute.

7) Most worn foundation:

My most worn foundation is a year-round one. I've been using this foundation all my life. I go a shade darker during the summer months because I tend to have more of a tan. I paired my foundation with Urban Decay's De Slick. Basically, I spray it before putting my make-up on, and afterwards. It removes  excess moisture and allows my foundation to stay on even longer! Seriously, it works. Sometimes I forget to spray it and I notice a difference as soon as I step outside. My face is already naturally oily but with the added sweat of summer my make-up could potentially slide right off... Not good! I love you, De Slick!

8) Most worn blush & bronzer:

My most worn blush is MAC's Pinch o' Peach. To be quite honest, it looks extremely pink in the pot, but on there are definitely noticeable hints of peach. It's a really pretty pop of pink to the cheeks and I think it's really light and summery. My most worn bronzer is NARS Laguna. This is my absolute favorite bronzer. I just think it warms up the face beautifully and the effect is very "sun-kissed". This is definitely my go-to summer bronzer because it also has flecks of shimmer in it which looks awesome in the sunlight.

9) My most worn lip product:

Lately I've been really loving this Korres Lip Butter in the color Wild Rose. It's a very pretty berry color and really enhances the natural color of your lips. It seems a little dark in the packaging but it goes on quite sheer, yet it's buildable. Also, once the initial sheen fades away, your lips are left with a slight stain that looks really natural. I love it :)

10) Most worn mascara:

I received this Marcelle mascara in my May Glossy Box but haven't used it until this summer. I think it's just a really decent mascara! I mean, it's not the BEST I've ever used, but it does the trick! It coats the lashes really nicely. Can't complain!

11) Most worn eyeshadow:

My Naked palette is my go-to. Lately, I've been using warmer colors and combining shades such as virgin, sin, and toast. I love a nude eye with full, colorful lips. That eyeshadow combo looks really nice with my Korres Lip Butter and some Laguna bronzer :)

(Oh hey!)

That's it!!! Hope you enjoyed! Here's a bonus Einstein for your viewing pleasures:
